Thread: Resident Evil Deck Building Game:: Rules:: Settle the Ammo question once and for all

I've been looking around all over the internet for the answer to this question as I haven't seen it definitively answered in the rule book or the Master FAQ. I've seen different posters/youtubers/commentors all saying 1 of 2 ways ammo works.

Example: You draw 60 ammo and 2 weapons. One weapon requiring 60 ammo and the other weapon requiring 30 ammo.

Option 1: You are only required to generate as much ammo is needed for the highest requirement (in this case 60) and therefore are allowed to use all other weapons with an equal or lesser ammo requirement. So in this case I could explore the mansion with both weapons.

Option 2: Each weapon requires its own ammo expenditure and you must have enough ammo for each individual weapon to use it. In this case I would only be able to use one of the weapons since the total requirement would be 90 and I only drew 60 ammo in my hand. Therefore I could use the weapon requiring 60 ammo or the weapon that requires 30 ammo, and the other 30 ammo would be wasted.

Which is the correct way to play?

Hello, original card text visible in link below.

Wiki "https://residentevil.fandom.com/wiki/Telescopic_Sight_Rifle_(WE-019)" says:
"when a character Explores they can reveal the bottom card of the Mansion Area instead of the top".

When I am using only this Rifle I have to take card from bottom of the Mansion. But if I am using Grenade and Rifle simultaneously? No other weapons hav this specifies, so they allow to use first card of Mansion deck. For those two I have to reveal bottom Mansion card, or I can choose from top or bottom, as I have 2 weapons - this and that?

What do you think? How do you play?

As always revealing bottom Mansion card when using Rifle is kind of 'buggy' for me.

This enemy gets +5 health and damage for each infected you have attached (aka defeated). While playing solo, if this guy comes up at the end of the game, how am I supposed to beat him?

I imagine his ability wouldn't affect you partner, as they don't have any infected attached to them, but that's not clear from the text.

If I understand the rules correctly, handgun and knife piles are made before taking starting cards, so lucky players may start with burst-fire handgun or/and survival knife. Am I correct?

I have a question about this rule and the example given after it:

Some Weapons, like Shotguns, allow a Character to Explore multiple times in a turn.
If a Player has multiple Explores they use 1 Explore at a time. If multiple Infected
are Revealed this way, the Player’s total Damage must be equal to or exceed that of
ALL the Revealed Infected’s Health combined. If it does not, then the Player receives
the total Damage from all of the Revealed Infected cards. Afterwards, all Revealed
Infected cards that were not defeated are moved to the bottom of the Mansion.

Ex: Tylar has 40 Ammo and is using a Pump-Action Shotgun which deals
25 Damage. He uses 1 Explore and Reveals a Bui Kichwa, which has 10 Health.
He decides to use his 2nd Explore and Reveals a Zombie (Female) which has
15 Health. Since their total Health is equal to Tylar’s 25 Damage, both Infected
are defeated. However, if the second Infected Revealed was a Licker (whose
Health is 40), Tylar’s 25 Damage would be unable to overcome both and his
Character would take the total Damage from all of the Revealed Infected.

Question:

What happens to the first revelead infected in the given example, when the character is unable to defeat both?
Does it go back to the mansion or is it considered defeated and is attached to the character who defeated it?

Thread: Resident Evil Deck Building Game:: Rules:: Leon's level 2 ability + deadly aim and/or Burst-Fire Handgun

Leon's (CH-002) level 2 ability says: All your "Pistol" Weapons can be used twice per turn.
Deadly Aim (AC-002) says: All your Weapons get +10 Damage this turn.
Burst-Fire Handgun (WE-010) says: While Attacking wtih more than 1 Weapon, this Weapon gets +20 Damage.

Question 1

I have Leon at level 2 and I play a single Handgun (WE-009) card, a single Deadly Aim card and decide to use the Handgun twice.

How much damage I do?

a) 40
10 (Handgun) + 10 (Handgun (second usage)) + 10 (Deadly Aim) + 10 (Deadly Aim to the second usage)) = 40 damage.

b) 30
10 (Handgun) + 10 (Handgun (second usage)) + 10 (Deadly Aim given to the single Handgun card and no bonus given to the second usage Handgun) = 30 damage.

c) Something else?

Question 2

I have Leon at level 2 and I play a single Burst-Fire Handgun card, two Ammo x 20 (AM-002) cards and decide to use the Burst-Fire Handgun twice.

How much damage I do?

a) 80
20 (BFH) + 20 (BFH 2nd usage) + 20 (BFH text) + 20 (BFH text 2nd usage) = 80 damage.

b) 40
20 (BFH) + 20 (BFH 2nd usage) (And no bonuses given from the BFH text) = 40 damage.

c) Something else?

My guess for both questions is the option a, but that would mean, if I play 3 Handgun cards, 1 Deadly Aim and 2 Ammo x 20 cards, then I would do 120 damage.
Is this correct?

For example, Quirk of Fate says "Trash 1 card from your hand."

Is this mandatory if you play the card, or is it optional?
